DTDC (and every air-network courier) prohibits these. Items most often misjudged when shipping from Jaipur down to Bangalore:

Common Jaipur → Bangalore misjudgements
- Precious gold and silver bullion from Johari Bazaar — bullion-grade pieces are banned outright; only non-precious sample-grade gem and jewellery lots are accepted, with full invoice and KYC.
- Ghee-based sweets and ladoos — ghee is semi-liquid; this is a frequent refusal on the long Bangalore lane. Sealed, factory-packed dry sweets are fine — visible ghee or oil pooling is not.
- Attar bottles from Sanganer / Walled-City perfumers — these are oils, not perfumes. They cannot ship.
- Loose handmade incense / dhoop — paste-based agarbatti is treated as flammable solid.

When delivery happens we forward the POD — signed slip or photo — within the hour. For Whitefield, Electronic City and Outer Ring Road addresses we strongly recommend giving the recipient’s mobile number on the AWB; last-mile in those zones can be slow without a phone confirmation.

How long does the parcel actually take — are 4–5 days surface and 2–3 days express realistic?
Yes. Surface is 4–5 working days end-to-end via the Mumbai trunk; express is 2–3 working days because the air leg lifts out of Mumbai or directly to Bangalore. Booking before noon helps the parcel catch the same-evening handover. Monsoon weeks (June–September) can add a day to surface, particularly when Mumbai-leg rains slow the trunk run; express is rarely affected. We give realistic dates at booking — never the marketing-best-case.
Can you deliver to a Whitefield, EGL or Manyata corporate office?
Yes, all three are on Bangalore DTDC’s last-mile network. For corporate-office delivery, please give us the recipient’s extension or mobile and the building’s gate / tower reference on the AWB — Whitefield, Manyata and Embassy Golf Links use building-and-tower notation and the rider needs the contact. Reception will sign for the parcel; we mark the recipient’s name in CAPS on the box face.
