Common Jaipur misjudgements
- Precious gold and silver bullion from Johari Bazaar — this is the single most common Jaipur misjudgement. Bullion-grade pieces are banned outright; only non-precious sample-grade gem and jewellery lots are accepted, with full invoice and KYC.
- Attar bottles from Sanganer / Walled-City perfumers — these are oils, not perfumes. They cannot ship.
- Raw Holi-colour powders — gulal in loose form is treated as a hazardous fine-particulate solid; sealed retail packs sometimes accepted on surface — ask first.
- Loose handmade incense / dhoop — paste-based agarbatti is treated as flammable solid.

Can you deliver to Bandra or South Mumbai by tomorrow if I book today?
Often yes, on express, if you book before noon. Express is 1–2 working days on this lane — air leg overnight via Ahmedabad to Mumbai DTDC, last-mile next morning to Bandra, Lower Parel, Kala Ghoda or South Mumbai. Booking after noon usually pushes delivery to day-after-tomorrow morning. For court submissions or financial-deadline paperwork, give yourself the buffer and book the day before.

We walk you through the paperwork before pickup so the parcel doesn’t get held at the Mumbai DTDC hub. For high-value lots, ask us about declared-value cover before pickup; DTDC’s default liability cap is limited. Precious bullion-grade gold or silver is not accepted on courier — that has to move on insured cargo.
I’m a Marwari trader sending weekly B2B parcels to Mumbai — can you set up a recurring slot?
