What you’ll need at pickup.
Customs paperwork is the most common reason an international parcel stalls. For Jodhpur’s antique-furniture-replica and leather exporters, ISPM-15 / treatment certificates are the difference between clearance and disposal at Sydney or Melbourne. We sort all of it before pickup.
KYC of the sender
One photo ID for the person whose name is on the AWB — Aadhaar, passport or driving licence. We photograph it at pickup; not stored beyond DTDC’s record.
Commercial invoice
For B2B parcels — antique-furniture-replica, papier-mâché, leather batches, marble inlay — a printed commercial invoice listing items, quantity and value. For gifts, a written declaration suffices but value still must be stated.
Treatment / fumigation papers
For wood-component handicraft, Australian Border Force / DAFF expects ISPM-15 evidence; for leather, treatment / tanning certificates from your manufacturer. We help arrange these before the parcel ships.
What Australia doesn’t let in.
Australia’s biosecurity is among the strictest in the world. These are real Australian Border Force and DAFF rules — not our caution. For Jodhpur senders specifically: untreated wood and bamboo handicraft and untreated leather get held — your manufacturer’s ISPM-15 / treatment certificate is the difference between clearance and a disposal fee billed to the consignee.

Why is Australia so strict about food and organic items?
Australia is an island ecosystem with biosecurity risks (insects, fungi, plant diseases) that don’t exist in most of the world. Australian Border Force and DAFF screen incoming parcels heavily; even sealed Indian sweets and untreated wooden frames are routinely destroyed. Don’t risk it — for Jodhpur send treated wood handicraft (with ISPM-15), papier-mâché, treated leather (with certificate), block-print textiles and books instead.
Can I ship a small antique-furniture-replica piece from Boranada to a Melbourne auction-house buyer?
Yes — but with treatment paperwork. Australian Border Force / DAFF requires ISPM-15 evidence (heat-treated or fumigated wood) on imports. Many Jodhpur exporters in the Boranada handicraft estate already have fumigation tie-ups; we coordinate with your manufacturer to attach the certificate to the AWB. Without paperwork, the piece gets held at Sydney or Melbourne — and disposal is the consignee’s expense. With paperwork, it clears like any other declared B2B parcel.
My daughter in Sydney needs her prescription tablets — can you ship?
Yes, with the conditions on the restrictions section above: prescription copy with doctor’s registration, sealed strips, no liquid medicines, no controlled substances. Send only the quantity prescribed, and ideally include a one-line note from the prescribing doctor stating the patient’s diagnosis. We’ve had reliable clearance on this format; the parcels that get held are usually the ones without paperwork.
